Tech Staff Meeting Summary 7/23/02

Current Top Priorities are:Complete DBB, SFTN, ESEE recovery

Priorities

2002 ANSS. Done. Waiting on 3 sensors being repaired. Jackson is on hold pending comm negotiations. May need to just move it to NE or SW Memphis. Firmware needs upgraded on all, Mitch will attempt to do this remotely. SFTN will get freewaves.

ESEE. Need to clean and restock everything.

GPS. Assume everything is running ok.

BB. Working.

FDL. After ESEE recovery, need to wipe 4 latptops and reload. Need an image. Then investigate dual boot Windows/Linux.

DBB. Jim will check into getting the dish hung at NMAD.

Greg will work with Tanya to get PERC display, hopefully prior to MAEC meeting on 11/23-25.

Mac will get with Parker to schedule a trip later this month to rehap the fire tower at Star Mountain.

Second Tier Priorities

Oakridge. Mitch will check with Martin on this.

Timing. Greg has an easy way to generate a datastream that goes high when lock is lost. Need a worm module to monitor. BB monitoring is more difficult. How do we automate the status stream or even get it back to Memphis for logging? (Save it to file with Scream?).

Still need to finish 4th channel up grade on about 1.5 nodes. Still need a degaining subroutine for ISIS.

Computer Room Power. Need to hook in new generator when new racks are installed.

The original seisnets racks need new batteries.

Other

Greg was ruminating and came up with this todo list. Much of it that relates to other staff has been incorporated here. Til I figure out what to do with the rest of it, it is in unedited form.

MPHB. done.

ET. Mitch shut down the lrnc heli-pages. John is focussing on new installs in east TN. The plan is to completely rebuild the NC stations when we can get time to get over and help. Then we'll put lrnc back online. Steve is going to have the ISDN replaced with DSL. John has been making steady progress.

Monroe. Still want to. But when and where?

I-40 Bridge. Spring?

Mitch will check with Lamont on fate of network given recent ANSS installations.

3904/215E. Will expand into the closet and be used as a computer setup/testing lab.

Auburn. Wants to make some cores. They submitted a proposal. If funded will need our help getting a couple cores. Shouldn't be a big deal. A day to two maybe.

Calibrate S-13's.

Battery charging station
