7.5 Earthquake in Mexico
A strong earthquake occurred in southern Mexico today, September 30, 1999
at about 11:31 CDT (16:31 UTC). The preliminary magnitude is 7.5. Damage
has been reported from Mexico City and it was felt as far as 140 miles
west of Mexico City. The following information was provided by the
