After completing his masters degree in 1986, Mr. Bollwerk accepted
the position of Portable Networks Supervisor at CERI. He has
subsequently supervised the installation, maintenance and routine
data collection of CERI's PANDA portable seismic network during NSF
and USGS funded cooperative international research projects in San
Juan, Argentina; Jujuy, Argentina; New Madrid; and on the Island of
Hawaii.
In 1993 he accepted the Network Engineer position at CERI and has
been working on the USGS funded upgrades of the CERI regional
seismic networks in New Madrid and the Southern Appalachians. In
addition, he has provided field support for a NSF funded project in
New Zealand, utilizing both the PANDA network and the second
generation PANDA II portable seismic network developed at CERI.
