The top priority is always repair of down stations.

The Director would like CERI supported students to work for their stipend. A significant fraction of the network is in need of a site visit for PMs. The right pair of responsible students could fill that role though safety is a concern particularly with international students on private land in the country. Could also use help making a spreadsheet that lists every channel and its path to central processing (whatever that means: AQMS, ringserver to IRIS, heli, ...).
Swazoo Claybon visited CERI to assess the Liebert. It's in bad shape. There's a long lead time and likely will not be fixed by the summer. They will work out what's needed and what it will cost. Can replace the whole unit or replace the innerds. We'll probably have to take out the wall on the southside of the room to remove the old unit. Then the question becomes, what to do with the servers while the work is being done.
Both new hires accepted and will be starting on the 10th and 24th if pre-employment processing can be completed in time.
Dave and James need access to Tigerbuy so they can view the punchout to get prices. Mitch will check whether to do it now or wait for the new Oracle based system (aka SOAR).
The CR approved by congress last month includes funds to upgrade 7 ET stations and 6 NM stations over 24 months. Upgrades are targeted to states with states with federal Helene disaster declarations (TN, NC, SC, GA, and VA). Replacing geobits is a priority. Do not wish to do NM stations slated for closure as part of the conversion to digital. May need to get creative.
The ANSS all hands meeting will be January 10 at 3pm on Teams. See the link Mitch forwarded. It will include highlights for each network.
Still need an alarm to send an sms message when X stations exceed Y latency. X and Y are to be determined but a first guess is 12 stations out for more than 15 minutes. Winston may not be the best metric, maybe the seedlink servers? Mitch had a slinktool based tool a long time ago but it was a pig so never implemented. Or mustang?
Data paths are complex. Need a way to quickly determine how a station is imported, how it gets to CERI (including which modules on which machine) and which waveserver(s) its available in (should we use a proxy waveserver as AQMS does?).
End of year funds (both seisnet and 2024DM). All purchases made except the pc's for windows 11. James will work on upgrading Pat's machine and assimilate with ITS (the borg).
Account is available for the new USGS award that began Feb 1.
DM24 upgrades. CACT is complete. STAM has a better shot to New Madrid. ARPT will get done with Helene upgrades and we'll do LRAR instead.
Need six new Scala antennas to accommodate a wider field as we upgrade stations to digital. Need four for mkta and two for luxo. They are $1150 each. New account has the budget for it.
Luxora building still under construction. Good call moving our equipment to a temporary location. Several mkta upgrades will need to repeat through Luxora instead of a node. Do we need to turn it into a "node"?
RDST2 needs an IP change though James would like to have someone onsite or available for immediate departure when he makes the change in case something goes wrong and we lose contact.
CVTN/CVMS. A contractor, A2H, was hired to design and build the new school. They're aware we're there and are willing to work with us to restore those stations when the time comes.
MPHB remove from earthworm and close it. Pull the sensor as time permits.
Both UALR pipe vaults were full of water. Will replace them with a CERI style surface vault.
The City of Cape Girardeau sold the building housing sm station CBMO. Mitch has been unable to get in touch with the real-estate agent. Dave discovered the buyer is a philanthropist possibly converting it to a museum. He'll periodically check on it when in the area to keep track of changes and establish a new agreement when the time comes.
FVM. It is unclear who is currently paying the electric bill. Presumable SLU is since that was part of the original agreement from 1994. Neither Herrmann nor Haug could verify and they don't have a current bill. The load is dramatically larger now so it's more than we can do with a new agrement. Could put the station on solar if necessary. Mitch will contact Joe and Dave will find out why the station is down.

MGNC is inaccessible.
LRVA is closed due to Helene damage. Need to recover the equipment and find a new site.
GMG and VHTN single-component problems are also long lived and need to be addressed. If disaster recovery and hardening funds become available they may be able to be upgraded to broadband. We only want to dig them up once.

The Dalton link is dead and we're currently using a cell modem. It works but it would be nice to get the Dalton link working again. Jim has made multiple attempts to contact them but they don't return calls.
Lost contact with RLAP. Needs a site visit. GPS status page
