Included John this time using polycomm voice station. Worked well.

Current Top Priorities are:SFTN, PWLA, FDL

See Calendar

Priorities

Station Maintenance. Made alot of progress in past month despite alot of trouble with dm16's. A day or two yet and should be back to 100%.

Ford repair. Done.

ATHN. Dsl is operational. Reconfigured earthworm. Working well. EMA will move July 1. Comm and our equipment will move when new tower is built. Not clear when that will happen. What to use aironets instead of freewaves then to get all channels off the mountain. Need to reconfigure phone reset to provide two resets for athn and two for star.

2002 ANSS. Done. Need to redo SFTN. Bailing on JSCC. Working on TEMA firewall and when this is worked out can install at TEMA facility in Jackson.

2003 ANSS. Working on budgets. John has nearly all Knox/Chatt. permits. Ditto for Wurth in St Louis. Cape is already sited, just need to replace NSMP with our hardware. Jaume working on Charleston. Still need Evansville. Greg needs to meet Bob in SLU and hammer out improvements to optical isolator design. Final 03 plan is:
Urban AreaNumber SitesOwner
St Louis, MO 5SLU
Knox/Chatt, TN5CERI
Evansville, IN3SLU
Charleston, SC3CERI
Cape G., MO 2SLU

GPS. New post-doc arrived today.

FDL. See laptop notes from meeting yesterday. Surge supressors for 6TD GPS complete. Still need battery boxes, cables, yada, yada, for 6TD's. Need to wrap mulichannel borehold cable on spools, so we can start building the "smoking room." Need to clean up.

CPCT. Done. Data look good. Still need gate on cave entrance.

PWLA. Need to replace sensor. Will upgrade to 3-c while we're at it.

Battery charging station. Need to quite stalling on this. Work it in as time allows.

Second Tier Priorities

John needs 10 BAB boards.

Weird problem with PII box from Chestnut Mt. John will send to CERI for repair.

CVTN optical isolation.

Need to pull MPHB for repair. Need to get orientation before reinstalling.

BB Test Facility. Will get Calvin Strong to do it for us.

Oakridge?

SEKY and VBMS. Two new NSN stations. Looks like we have a site at CGNP for SEKY. VBMS kind of stalled--meeting in Oxford 4/16.

Timing. Greg has an easy way to generate a datastream that goes high when lock is lost. Need a worm module to monitor. BB monitoring is more difficult. How do we automate the status stream or even get it back to Memphis for logging? (Save it to file with Scream?).

Still need to finish 4th channel up grade on about 1.5 nodes. Still need a degaining subroutine for ISIS.

Computer Room Power. Generator hooked into the worms. Need to unstick, Deltec service contract PO.

The original seisnets racks need new batteries.

Nodes need new batteries. Could extend life of new batteries if we had new chargers but this will take time we don't have right now.

Other

Replace nasty old map.

North Carlina station refurbish. Get a whole crew over there and more or less rebuild all stations.

Renew FCC licenses.

Greg was ruminating and came up with this todo list. Much of it that relates to other stuff has been incorporated here.

Monroe. Still want to. But when and where?

I-40 Bridge. Greg needs to visit entec. Need to do a mockup when all the hardware was here. Might be a problem with communication since it looks like it was designed for 422 serial instead of tcp/ip as originally planned. Funds budgeted for worm interface but not clear how or when this will be done. Need to reopen lines of communication with vender to make sure we can actually use the data.

BB network upgrade. Necessary hardware on order. DM's should arrive in June.

Pull SMA's as convenient. Hardware to go back to LDEO when finished.

Calibrate S-13's.

Leanto drainage. Gary working with P-plant on it.

Permanent station at HOGG?

UM offers various computer application courses (e.g. Word, Excel, etc). the Spring schedule will be available soon. Check the IS Training Center website for more details.
