Where's that confounded file?
Of course, what you get yourself all organized with subdirectories and links, you may forget where you have a particular file. Use find to help out.
find . -name .cshrc -print
will look in the current directory for a file called .cshrc then print the results to the screen.
You can do all sorts of things with find such as finding files created within the past n days, but I usually just do the above and have an alias for it (more about aliases later). You should think thrice before running find on the root directory since it will take forever and make people mad by bogging down several machines.
