Invitation
ESEE is an opportunity for seismologists, geotechnical engineers and
earthquake engineers to perform piggy-back experiments with large, controlled
seismic sources. If you are interested in fielding your own data
collection experiment or participating with the Principal Investigators
in the surface wave experiment, please contact C.
A. Langston as soon as possible for coordination. Although we
encourage all responsible scientists to take advantage of these unusual
seismic sources for their own research, we would like to make sure that
field arrangements be coordinated so that no problems occur with instrument
siting and permitting.
In addition, investigators associated with the Mid America Earthquake
Center may be able to obtain modest supplemental funds for existing grants
to take advantage of this field opportunity.
