Workshop Mission
ESMA (EarthScope Science for Mid-America) is a workshop to bring together a diverse group of Earth scientists to discuss scientific objectives for the EarthScope facility -- particularly USArray -- in mid-America. The main goal is to advance understanding of the geological and geophysical framework and processes within mid-plate North America.

Brief Description......... The workshop will be both regional in character and process-driven in content. We will discuss future multidisciplinary collaborations to maximize our understanding of the geology of the Mid-America region, from the mantle to the Earth's surface, which will lead to a better understanding of the geologic development of cratonic regions, and will provide valuable data for assessment of resources and earthquake hazards
